How my journey began

Theresa McGhee transcends the role of a physician assistant; she's a passionate champion for self-empowerment and awakening the inate power to  swlf-healing. Her path was set when her young son confronted a life-threatening illness, propelling Theresa into the realm of holistic healing. Driven by unwavering faith and resolve, she witnessed firsthand the profound impact of embracing a holistic lifestyle on her son's recovery. This pivotal moment ignited Theresa's mission to stand for optimal health and wellness for everyone, culminating in her inspiring work and dedication  with founding Wake Up Well. 
With a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant from Howard University, Theresa McGhee brings over three decades of expertise in HIV/AIDS clinical care, prevention, and research.  Theresa's impact reached beyond her professional roles; she founded JEWELS, a supportive community empowering HIV-infected women to face their health struggles with resilience and empowerment.
Theresa's global commitment is evident through her work with PROMETRA USA, with its mission to preserve & protect traditional knowledge systems, and efforts  to enhance global health.
